Microplate Sealers & De-Sealers: Achieve the Gold Standard in Microplate Sealing
In microplate sealing, heat sealing is the gold standard method. It prevents sample loss and maximizes sample security, by facilitating a 100% complete seal, preventing evaporation, leakage and contamination. Heat sealing is suitable for high temperature applications such as (q)PCR, low temperature storage, transportation and many other applications. The sealing performance of heat seals is superior to all other methods including cap, mat and adhesive sealing.
The optimized sealing performance of a heat seal allows the use of smaller reagent volumes leading to reagent cost savings, such that heat sealing is the most cost efficient sealing method for a wide range of applications.
The application of a heat seal is much faster than when using caps or adhesive seals. Typical sealing times are 2 to 3 seconds. A reproducible seal quality can be consistently achieved by standardizing the sealing parameters: time, temperature and pressure. Variability of sealing consistency seen when using manual heat sealers, adhesive seals, caps or mats, is completely removed.
Our seals and instruments are produced according to our ISO standard manufacturing, and are compatible with a huge range of plates, tubes, strips of tubes and racked tubes. Please contact us if you are unsure of compatibility. We also produce custom holders to facilitate sealing of non-standard labware.
